    Well, you can use mixture of Autogenic Training mixed with Progressive Relaxation. Very similar thing. However, it is nothing new. It is used by Eastern European Olympic Teams since very early 1970s. Especially to remove sleep problems during night before meet or fight. I had clients totally out in ten minutes after only three sessions.

    Always get a "check up" from your GP before embarking on a fitness regime which you may not be used to- especially in advancing years. Be sensible when you begin something "alien" to you... Better fell "within yourself" than over-exerting yourself" for the first couple of weeks at least. Remember- it's the slowest growing trees that have the strongest wood...

    The idea that there is just one or two definitions of "Meditation" among all of the traditions is simply not true. This is the major problem with scientists stripping and isolating practices from their original structural contexts with a bias towards cognitive operations. I have found practices that cover all of the sense bases using focus, analysis, feeling, sensing for each and every modality. All you have to do is read the instructional sutras to know this in true in Buddhism alone. As a matter of fact there is no such word as "meditation" in the east. Sadhana is basically a practice, and tantra is a practices utilizing a tool within this context. Sadhanas exercising focus fall under "samatha." Practices covering analysis are called Vipassanā. Practices immersing the body with positive feelings roughly fall under the The Four Brahmaviharas. Metta: Loving Kindness and benevolence. Karuna: Compassion. Mudita: Sympathetic and empathetic joy. Upeksha: Equanimity. The 3rd Jhana (meditative absorbtion) is litteraly suffusing the entire body of feeling with rapturous joy while letting of any care for worldly thoughts, and extending it to the highst heaven and lowest depths.

    I'm 65, I am 5'9" ,210 lbs 12% body fat. I am thankful what Im capable of physically. I have women 20 and 30 years younger than me are comfortable with me, as in you know when a woman likes you. They actually think I'm in my 40s because I walk with confidence and power, my body movements are that of a younger man. The women can't believe I'm an old fuck. My hair is past my shoulders and is still dark brown, almost black. I think that throws people off on my age. I haven't been a big alcohol consumer, I haven't had any alcohol in 7 years. I never smoked cigarettes. I did smoke pot, and still do. I am extremely focused on whatever my target is. I know I will become old and weak some day. But not today. That's my mindset.

    Seriously, the amount of morons in this comment section is unheard of. Lets clarify what she said: you can gain mass throughout your life. You gain a lot more muscle if you exercise between 20-30 because later on atrophy kicks in and removes some of your gains. if you stop exercising you lose 8% muscle per year. And honestly it's not rocket science guys. Seriously, what's wrong with your intelligence? Just look at professional athletes. Look at when they peak and look at when they retire because they can't compete anymore. Simple enough for you???

    Swami niranjanada saraswati made a book called yoga nidra i read it in the early 2,000s and practiced and was amazed. Super relaxed, spontaneous astral projection and one mystical experience. RUclips his name and find the original practice by him. Other ones are great like a short one by Liam gillen. But niranjanadas is the original and his voice is pleasant. Try it!

      I wish they were readily available in my place. Microdosing was my next plan of care for my husband. He is 59 & has so many mental health issues plus probable CTE & a TBI that left him in a coma 8 days. It's too late now I had to get a TPO as he's 6'6 300+ pound homicidal maniac. He's constantly talking about killing someone. He's violent. Anyone reading this Familiar w/ BPD know if it is common for an obsession with violence.
